Rain Derailing Your Diet?

I was reading an editorial recently and the writer mentioned that rain makes her hungry. In fact, it was derailing her diet. Does anyone else experience this phenomenon? I could see that because I feel hungry when the weather turns colder, and rain usually means lower temps. The second there is a chill in the air, I'm thinking about my next meal! I found an article that says we actually eat 6-7% more calories in the colder weather than we do in the warmer weather! There are many possible reasons, including an evolutionary explanation...it may be because our ancestors needed to eat more in the winter in case food became scarce.
